Record-breaking $20,000 Charity Donations from a hugely successful SH12 . . .

A very proud moment in VicBears history last night, when we donated a record-breaking $20,000 to the Anti-Violence Project Victoria ($15,000) and VicAids Council ($5,000 in memory of Paul Halton).

This amazing achievement was a result of a uber-successful Southern Hibearnation 2012, and the efforts and support of every single person that was a part of this stellar FUNraising event.

Thank you one and all - you know who you are, and we look forward to you being a special part of SH13 next year too!!

Annual General Meeting: Tue, 31 July

Each year at our AGM we look back on the year that was, elect the new Committee for the coming year and look ahead to what's in store for VicBears in the next 12 months. As usual, there will be changes on the Committee due to retirements and no one’s position is guaranteed!

The AGM commences at 7:30pm, Tuesday 31st July 2012, at is held at the VicAids/GMHC Centre, 6 Claremont St, South Yarra (off Toorak Rd, near Chapel St).

If you are considering putting your hand up and being an active part of the next Committee, please go to our website and check out the duties that are expected of each position. You can also talk to some of the existing Committee members to get first hand experiences about what being a VicBears Committeeman is all about!

To join the VicBears 2012/2013 Committee;
- you must be a current financial member of VicBears
- be nominated for a Committee position by another VicBears member
- complete the ‘Committee Nomination Form’ found on our website. You can also request a Nomination Form from Peter Undy, Secretary on secretary@vicbears.org.au or 0409 360 031.
- The completed Form must be received by Peter Undy, Secretary no later than 5:00pm, Tuesday 24th July 2012. You can email a scanned copy of the completed Form to secretary@vicbears.org.au, or mail it to VicBears Inc., PO Box 1408, Collingwood VIC 3066

Your Nomination Form must be received by 5:00pm on Tuesday 24th July 2012 - one week before the AGM.

Voting at the AGM is for all current financial members (one vote per member) and can be either by turning up on the night, or assigning a completed Proxy Voting Form and give it to your representative to be handed to the Secretary at the AGM.

It’s time to dig out your military gear & prepare for COMBAT!

COMBAT falls on our VicBears Den Night, so there’ll be bear-snacks to kick things off, followed by a night of damn sexy men parading around in search of the perfect training partner.

We'll be drawing their Mannhaus Member Draw where some lucky member stands to win a $125 Mannhaus voucher! Plus there’ll be other prizes, giveaways & the Plug-A-Bear segment.

And you'll be able to check out all the Souther Hibearnation 2012 events and purchase your Event Passes and tickets at the "early bird" discounted prices!

The parade takes place along Daylesford’s fabulous shopping strip, Vincent St. It features all manner of gloriously festive mobile displays – Dykes on Bikes, marching boys, drag queens lounging in convertibles, classic cars, cheer-leaders, clowns, BEARS and floats that, frankly, have to be seen to be disbelieved.

PAWPLAY Den Night

Like bears?

What about video games?

What about cute bears and cubs playing video games?

What about doing so with a beer in your hand and all of your bear mates right there with you as you enjoy a night of fun and game playing (the good kind) with PAWPLAY!!

VicBears is going to deck out the Laird Hotel with console games on the two big screens, so expect all of your favourite multipler competitive and fun games including Wii Sports, Mario Kart and MORE!

After a very successful event last year, PAWPLAY returns to the Laird Hotel for VicBears February Den Night on Saturday, 25 February.

VicBears will be there with all the usual fun of the BBQ Hot Dogs, our Club Desk so you can renew your membership, raffles with great prizes, our plug-a-bear segment and news about upcoming VicBears events.

And like all our Den Night events, it's totally FREE to enter and enjoy the fun!

Plus, we'll be handing over the BIG donation cheque to Country Awareness Network Victoria, for the $1000's we've raised over our 'Summer BearFest'. A Den Night not to be missed!
