"Pawplay" - Bears, Beer and Video Games

When: February 26 - 7 PM BBQ / 8PM Start for Gaming

Where: The Laird Hotel - 149 Gipps Street Abbotsford.

Like bears? What about video games?

What about cute bears and cubs playing video games?
...
What about doing so with a beer in your hand and all of your bear mates right there with you as you enjoy a night of fun and gameplaying (the good kind) with PAWPLAY!!

VicBears is going to deck out the Laird with WII on the big screen, KINECT in the corner and all of your favourite competitive and fun games including Wii Sports, Dance Central, Street Fighter and MORE.

This is the first time we've done anything like this, and we're incredibly excited; it's also a Den Night of course, so we'll be providing the BBQ from 7pm, we'll be there at the desk so you can renew your membership, and we'll have the lovely ALEXANDER EVANS there on hand, who designed our awesome new logo!!

So practice those combo moves, work on those headshots and get your brain trained; the Laird hotel may never be the same again after we take over with all of these games!!

Got a game request or are able to contribute with a console/TV or look after a gaming station for us? We'd love to hear from you. Message us on Facebook or e-mail vice-pres@vicbears.org.au for more information.

Thanks for the Memories

On the weekend of 11/02/11 to the 13/02/11, seventeen brave Bears (and one dog) trekked out into the bush, sacrificing many of the luxuries of home to live simply amongst the natural beauty of Castlemaine Diggings National Park. The days were warm and clear, the swimming and the nights were crisp and cold, which only made the nightly campfires all the better.

The Vicbears Committee would like to thank everyone who attended this year's camping trip and made it the great event it was. For those that missed it or prefer a more "featured" holiday, Vicbears also has it's annual cabining trip in the Grampians - October 29 to November 1.

We'll be sure to do this again next year.

Event Captain.
